LGBT expats from Singapore could be eligible to stay permanently in Australia

Dear Reader,

If you are a LGBTI Singaporean living in Australia, stay with me. In just a moment, I will explain why you could be eligible to apply for an Australian permanent visa.

But you have to be quick. Not many people know about this opportunity offered by the Australian Government.

AN INCREASING NUMBER OF INCIDENTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED…

On 30 March 2020, Singapore’s High Court ruled to uphold the criminalisation of homosexuality in the country.

Anti-LGBTI sentiment is deeply ingrained in Singapore culture with most Singaporeans holding conservative views about sexual orientation and gender identity.

There is no legislation which protects LGBTI persons from discrimination or hate crimes in Singapore.

LGBTI persons in Singapore face stigma, discrimination, harassment, emotional and verbal abuse and are forced into heterosexual marriage.

Most LGBTI persons do not live openly as LGBTI persons due to discrimination and violence…

That’s why many LGBTI Singaporeans are running away to Australia…

Oftentimes they come as a student…

Here they experience freedom to express their real sexuality and gender identity without discrimination.

Australia is one of the most LGBTI-friendly countries in the world.

In a Pew Research poll, 79% of Australians agreed that homosexuality should be accepted by society.

What’s more, when they get here, Singaporeans realise that they can apply for a protection visa and stay permanently in Australia…

How good is that?

If you believe your life is at risk because of your homosexuality or your gender identity if you go back to Singapore, you may be eligible to apply for a protection visa.

Don’t worry, this visa is 100% confidential. Your friends and family will never know you have applied for a protection visa.

And in just a moment I will explain why you should apply for a protection visa as soon as possible if you are from Singapore.

Before that, let me address the main issue…

Quite often these protection visas are refused by the Immigration Office.

SBS published on 9 September 2019 that “more than 90 per cent of onshore protection visa cases are refused”.

So what happens if your protection visa application gets refused.

If your application gets refused, your chances of staying in Australia will be very slim.

You will have to appeal.

You may have to go to court.

Avoid that at all costs.

Reasons that could lead the immigration office to refuse your protection visa application?

Oftentimes, LGBTI applicants don’t have the time and resources to properly write claims explaining why the Singaporean government and even their own families pose a risk to their lives.

And they also struggle to explain and prove that they are genuine homosexuals or transgender.

Sometimes because they haven’t even come out to their family and friends.

See, it’s difficult for them to gather the right evidence to support their claims.

There are ambiguities, contradictions and even grammar mistakes in their claims.

What they are trying to say can be easily misinterpreted by the Immigration Office.

Anything that could spark doubt in the mind of the Immigration Department could jeopardise your protection visa application.

If you are a genuine LGBTI expat from Singapore and you believe your life is at risk if you go back to Singapore, click here to book a consultation with us.

The second main reason LGBTI Singaporeans get their protection visa application refused is also quite alarming…

Singaporeans tend to look for immigration agents who come from Singapore.

And many Singaporean immigration agents in Australia were raised by families who do not accept homosexuality, let alone transgenders.

They might agree to help you. But be careful.

Most of the time, they don’t specialise in protection visas. Even worse, deep inside they don’t agree with your homosexuality or gender identity.

Plain and simple, they just want your money.

More than often, these protection visa applications are refused. And we get LGBTI Singaporeans coming to our office crying and asking for help.

Sometimes we can help. But other times, there is nothing we can do.

In the last month alone, in response to a growing number of protection visa refusals, LGBTI Singaporeans are coming in droves to get assistance from us.

We are the No. 1 protection visa lawyers, proudly helping LGBTI Singaporeans to stay in Australia…

Last year, we were rated as “Best Protection Visa Lawyers in Melbourne” by “Top 10 Lawyers”.

And the news is quickly spreading among the entire Singaporean LGBTI community in Australia.

We believe in human rights without discrimination of any kind, including discrimination on the basis of sexuality, sex identity or gender.

But most importantly, we proudly support the LGBTI community.

You might have seen us before in LGBTI protests around Melbourne. And we will continue actively participating and sponsoring upcoming LGBTI activities.

If you are a genuine LGBTI expat from Singapore and you believe your life is at risk if you go back to Singapore, click here to book a consultation with us.

Our strong connection with the LGBTI community is the main reason why 98.9% of our protection visa applications get approved…

We understand LGBTI issues like no other immigration agents and lawyers in Australia.

We know how to write claims and collect all the necessary evidence to prove to the Immigration Office that you are a genuine LGBTI person and your life is at risk if you go back to Singapore.

We have even successfully represented LGBT individuals in court when their visa applications got refused and they had little hope to stay in Australia.

But as I said before, you want to avoid getting your visa refused at any costs.

And we want to help you lodge your protection visa application in a way that doesn’t create any doubt in the mind of the Immigration Office from the outset.

Right now you have the best chances to succeed in your protection visa application if you are a genuine Singaporean LGBTI living in Australia…

But you have to be quick. We are living moments of uncertainty.

The COVID situation is not getting any better worldwide. International borders will remain closed.

If you set foot outside Australia before launching your protection visa application, your chances of getting a protection visa offshore will be zero. You cannot apply for a protection visa outside Australia.

That’s why as of 26 May we are having a high influx of LGBTI Singaporeans coming to our office…

They want to apply for their protection visa in case they need to travel back to Singapore for emergency purposes and get stuck there.

Who knows when or if they will be able to return to Australia.

That’s why they want to make sure their protection visa doesn’t get refused.

They see this as a once-in-a-life-time opportunity to free themselves from gender and sexual oppression and discrimination in Singapore.

But it’s not only that…

It’s also about a unique opportunity to live in a country with the world’s highest standard of living…

Everyone wants to live in Australia.

Wages in Australia are much higher than most other countries.

A protection visa let’s you stay in Australia permanently.

You can live and work in Australia as a permanent resident.

And that means you are also entitled to Medicare (Australia’s free health care scheme) and Centrelink services (financial support from the government).

Better still, you can get your Medicare right after lodging your protection visa application.

Ultimately, you will have all the power to fight against LGBTI discrimination in Singapore right here from Australia, while enjoying most privileges and benefits Australian citizens have.

If you are a genuine LGBTI expat from Singapore and you believe your life is at risk if you go back to Singapore, fill in the form below to see your chances of getting a Permanent Residence in Australia right now.

Attention: As of 1st of May we’ve been experiencing a high influx of consultations. But we promise we will get back to you as soon as possible.

I engaged Gold Migration, because I had left things a little too late and there were some factors that were too complicated and too confusing and too high risk for me to do on my own.My first meeting with them was by video. I was looking at a set up with lined up desks much like you see in a court room drama. There were 3 people in the room. They asked me to describe my circumstances and they answered my questions. They were forthright and pulled no punches, they told me the risks and the issues I would have to deal with. Then they conferred together and then gave me a price. It wasn’t the most expensive I had been quoted, nor the cheapest, but what impressed me about them was the machine like efficiency they dealt with the problem from the beginning. There are NO surprises from this firm. They lay out all the costs at the time of engagement, they tell you the steps they will be taking and their approach.Remember this is Immigration you’re dealing with, even expert lawyers have no control over such a department, timescale is not in the control of you or your lawyers. For the first month it was a flurry of activity for me. They sent me a cloud based drive to upload all my documents and evidence to. They reviewed it and made suggestions. All of the statements they asked me to write came with examples and best way to write them. Then they told me they had everything they needed and to leave it with them. On reflection I realised I had witnessed a highly experienced team in action. They asked for and got what they needed, it was explained and documented and organised. They have a very efficient set of procedures they follow and they make sure all the boxes are ticked before they submit. You can’t fault this level of experience and practical application, you basically pay them and go along for the ride. Over the months as immigration dealt with the case they came back to me a few times and asked for more information. I know they wrote reports and fielded questions from immigration but all I got was a comment that everything was tracking as planned. The most interesting part for me to see was the obvious pleasure and satisfaction they enjoyed when they called me to tell me we finally had the PR visa. They took it personally and that meant a lot to me.Are they expensive ? Well that depends, how much is having your family members live with you in Australia worth to you ? They are not the cheapest , they are not the most expensive, but I am confident that they are the best!If you are worried about getting a loved one or a valued worker a visa, or you are having issues with your visa, you should not hesitate to go with the gold standard. Go with Gold Immigration and sleep better at night knowing your visa issue is in good hands.read more

My partner and I had walked into Gold Migration for the first time in May of 2023. I was anxious at I knew by the time we would have to lodge our partner visa we would not have lived together for 12 months. Walt had given us the reassurance that all would be okay, I instantly felt that sigh of relief through the professional and welcoming service that Walt and his team had provided. We then began our journey with Gold Migration Lawyers, the whole time Walt had been there to support us through every enquiry and every piece of evidence. We eventually submitted our visa in October with every bit of confidence of a positive outcome. In February we got out 820 grant, the moment Walt had told me that the visa had been granted I began to cry of happiness. Thank you Walt! Thank you Gold migration lawyers, you have allowed myself and my partner to be in Australia together.read more
