Joshua utilises his wide range of experience from his time at Community Legal Centres (CLCs), his extensive customer service background and his extensive experience in migration Law to provide a professional and tailored service, that addresses and meets the clients’ needs and expectations.

Joshua has developed and accumulated extensive experience on migration law matters during his time as a legal practitioner. Joshua takes a cerebral and methodical approach with his matters, which has shown in the significant success he has had at the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) in advocating for the rights of refugees in diverse and complicated matters. In addition, Joshua’s approach to migration law has also seen him develop knowledge and experience success with complex partner visa matters that require strong legal writing, advocacy and submissions.  

Joshua’s passion for migration law is motivated by his own personal experiences in being a child of a refugee, growing up in refugee populated areas within Melbourne, and his own experience in bringing his partner into Australia through the Partner Visa program. He is an empathetic and relatable advocate who has gone through the Partner Visa pathway with his partner, where he is determined to give back to his community by assisting and providing favourable outcomes for others. 

Joshua is fluent in English and Tagalog (Filipino).

  • Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (GDLP) (Leo Cussen Centre for Law)
