ABC News: Myanmar students at Australian schools and universities stuck between a coup and COVID-19
(Now General Min Aung Hlaing has declared himself Prime Minister)

According to BBC News, the general who took power in a coup in Myanmar in February has named himself prime minister and said emergency rule may now extend to August 2023.
Meanwhile, Myanmar has become a COVID-19 super-spreader.
300,000 cases and 9,300 deaths.
But those numbers are vastly underestimated.
“We keep asking ourselves, are we going to die of Covid or are we going to die because of the impact of the political crisis?” said journalist Aye Mya, whose name we have changed for safety reasons.
That’s why Myanmar students are urged to apply for a protection visa and stay in Australia right now.

But it’s not easy for a Myanmar student to get a protection visa in Australia…
SBS published that “more than 90 per cent of onshore protection visa cases are refused”.
So what happens if your protection visa application gets refused.
If your application gets refused, your chances of staying in Australia will be very slim.
You will have to appeal.
You may have to go to court.
Worse still, you may have to go back to Myanmar while facing real danger…
REASONS THAT COULD LEAD THE IMMIGRATION OFFICE TO REFUSE YOUR PROTECTION VISA APPLICATION?
Oftentimes, Myanmar applicants don’t have a good command of the English language.
Or they don’t have the time and resources to properly write their claims for protection.
There are ambiguities, contradictions and even grammar mistakes in their claims.
What they are trying to say can be easily misinterpreted by the Immigration Office…
Worse still, they are not able to provide documents and evidence to support their claims.
This could lead to your application being refused.
Anything that could spark doubt in the mind of the Immigration Department could jeopardise your protection visa application.
